GPL, in-game nose view

Hello,

Can someone please tell me if it's possible to add the nose view to the view
options under F10; toggle views? I like driving with the nose view, because
it doubles the framesrate and it gives an incredible sense of speed. At this
moment I'm able to drive with this view because I altered the "drivingView"
line in driver.ini, but it's not an option in the F10 menu, so I can't get
it back once I pressed F10. Is there a possibility to add it to the options
under F10?

TIA,

Ad.

I believe that is your only option.  Alter the ini file and then DON'T
TOUCH THE F10 BUTTON!
have a nice day.

What am I missing, i thought the only views you could drive in where the 2
F10 views,***pit and arcade?  I couldnt find the line your talking about
in driver.ini, I did find it in the player.ini.  I changed the values a
compule of times 3, 4, and 1 I tried and it changed nothing. I'd like to
know the way your doing it?  The roll bar view would be espicaly cool, but
im sure my hopes will be dashed shortly.

I think Paul Hoad's old GPL editor lets you change the positions of the
onboard cameras. Don't ask me where to get it, though, I haven't seen or
heard anything of it in ages.

player.ini is always overwriten by the game

You can change to the Roll Bar view but you can see the mirrors so the first
time you switch to incar to check 'em you can only switch back to F10.
Brian Heiland(sp?) put out a car cam editor so you can move the replay
cameras anywhere (except TV 1&2) and use them as driving views by hacking
the player.ini, maybe core.ini I forgot which by changing last view.  With
the carcam editor you can change the camera to give a fish eye perspective
which really gives a sense of speed   .  I haven't installed it again since
I reinstalled windows but I'm sure it's still out there
