Grand Prix Management game

I would like to get some feed back from a others who have played this
game.  I find the game extremely fun, but it is also extremely hard.  I
like to pick mid high to mid level teams.   I am able to get the into the
top six (4th) but always go bankrupt before coming close to winning the
championship.  Are their any key hints that could help me?

I have the shareware version of this game, has anyone played the regular one
from Wizards?  If so do you recommend I shell out the $25 and order the
registered version.

I hear Microprose is coming out its own F1 team management game/  Hs
anyone have any info on it?

I would like to see a more graphical setup for a Manager game. On the
Wizard game all the info can be overwhelming, a like graphics would be
nice (i.e. tracks, pitstops, race action, building of cars, podeum finishes).
Mouse control would be a lot more efficient too.

I have been playing Grand Prix Manager now for about a year now. I
started just like you constantly going bankrupt. What you must do is donot
go to win the championship in the first year. Build up to the championship.

A further point also is that buy the best equipment but remember if you
can get a good chassis for 76 (subaru 4) why pay to have anything less
than good, and you must seriously think why you want to have a chassis
which costs any higher.

Also with regards to building your own parts. Concentrate on the
important parts like the engine and transmission, since it is quite
pointless building your own chassis, body and electric's since you can
already get 2 point from the end by buying cheaper stuff.

A final point would be to act like a proper manager, donot spend 500+ for
senna or any other driver go for the cheapest best driver you can get.
Because that 500+ is per race, so over 16 races you are forking out 8000.
If you play the game right you can often pick up a genius driver for
about 100-200 simply by hiring a very fast driver pre season. Donot
develop a new car. Enter the very fast driver into the first race. All
been well you should be able to finish within the top six or seven which
will normally  put you in the top 4 teams. At this point you hire a
genius driver for this and next season, sack all your non good staff, and
hire some good people for any vacant positions (hire A.Meyer as your mechanic
he does pitstops of about 4.2 seconds) , aslo hire 60 mechanics. and then
build your new car. Get it tested quickly, go all the way on test
sessions and introduce the car somewhere arround jerez.

After all this you will find that you will have a great driver for next
season a good car in which to start the season, Hopefully you should have
finished in the top 8 teams, this will give you the ability to build a
***y good new car. And if all goes to plan that should be your first
winning season. Remember you may wish to high a second genius driver, but
remember the true costs of employing that driver.

I also normally hire 3 genius drivers, this goes on the assumption that
what I have got my rivals cannot use.

People may think all the above is bollocks but using the above tactics i
can start as wizard and win the championship within 4 seasons, sometimes
3. After this i can normally win the double about 4 times in a row, at
which point i start to get bored and start from the begining by hiring
shite drivers and building a shite car the following year. This is like
starting as wizard but having the finances of both Mclaren and williams
put together, since you get about 1-2 million a race in both prizes and
bonus's, plus about 13 million to start off each year.

Where can I get hold of this Grand Prix Management game as it sounds
quite an interesting strategy program.

        Thanks in advance...
