GPL,F3; my 1st(and curious) win...

Today I won my first full field AI race in GPL! It happened in Brands
Hatchs and in F3. I am happy, but there was something strange in the
race:

I had qualified already before the 1.1 patch. I was 5th in the grid
with time 2:03.33. Clark was 1st 1:56.16, Hulme 2nd 1:56.39. In the
start I could pass 2 cars, before the long straight one more, and after
2nd lap leading Hulme had problems with his Brabham - the piston - and
he quitted. I was first and very worried if I can keep my car on track.
I could! And I won! Not very interesting race, though...

But then the the oddities: My best lap (of 7) was only 2:09.74,
generally they were around 2:11. But next drivers were nearly 30
seconds behind me a the checkered flag! (Hill 28.26, Gurney 28.44,
Surtees 29.33, Amon 29.51, and Clark 36.37!) The best lab of the race
was by Hulme, 2:02:90.

Is there something wrong with the Brands and the patch? Or is the track
just difficult for those guys? :-)  Especially Clark's not so good race
was something I could not expect ... ;)

Perhaps I should just joy of my first victory in a race with all those
top guys?  :-)

GPL as a way to make sure you never get too good and bored of it.  Your next
race there, the AI's will be much faster.  I think their times are sort of
reset to match yours if you beat the ***out of them the first time, or
something like that.

Congrats on your win, and hold on tight the next time.

I think there is a problem with the AI at Brands, if one car is going slow,
no-one will pass it.
