This beautiful car is finally coming to the U.S. :-o

I bet a mod based on this car using the GTR/F1C engine would be great fun
online.

But not Canada :(     (10mph bumper law instead of 5mph)

Lotus handling with a bullet proof leak free Japanese engine, it's
only taken what? 40 years!  ;)

I wouldn't say it is beautiful but it's on top of my list to. Ill buy one
for my mid life crisis! ;)
I remember not being very enthusiastic about GPL because it was a kind of
car I would never drive in real life. But GPL changed my view on real life
cars. The Elise is probably the most "GPL-like" car you can get.

That offset plate reminds me of an Alfa Romeo. Just with all the style
removed...

The eighth evolution, each one goes faster, handles better, still looks like
the result of a trip to Halfords :)

I have the EVO VIII, what an awesome car, just small mods, and this thing
just drives like nothing else. Put's a smile on my face everyday. The
steering response is amazing, and the turbo kicks in and pulls to redline,
now with a boost controller.

I dunno...I prefer the Esprit, myself.  I've never gotten into the styling of
the Elise.

You only have to look at Vauxhall's remix of the Elise, the VX220, to
make the Elise look a whole lot better.

Modern Alfas are not like the rusting Suds of the 70s you know!

Though I may be biased...

Unfortunately there do seem to be some rogues out there, and the dealer
network is a matter of luck where you live. However, one of the big problems
as 156s have become acceptable as company cars is the fact non Alfa
enthusiasts don't expect to pop the bonnet up between services. These
engines are designed to use oil and consumption can be as high as 1
litre/1000km from new. Many early demises of engines at low miles is simply
through lack of oil, and a common fault with twin sparks is variator failure
due to oil starvation.

The V6 is a classic engine though. Alfa fans have to hope the guys in Italy
can work some wonders to make the new GM V6 engine sound right in the next
generation Alfas...

And the latest Evos (UK NR 340) come with 340bhp with a claimed 450bhp
package on the way, who cares if it's pretty it's loud fast and furious.
