InterAct "UltraRacer PC" controller...anyone using this?

Hi.........

        I'm playing N2, and I wanted a steering wheel, but couldn't afford one. I
found this controller....basically it's a mini steering wheel on a hand
held gamepad-sized controller.

According to the instructions, the game views this controller as a 2axis,
4 button gamepad, so you don't really have to set it up.

I plugged mine in, and whammo!!! It was workin' great. Then one
day....nothing......

Anyone else using this controller? It's a great alternative for me, since
I couldn't afford a wheel/pedal set....however, I'm a little ticked at it's
unreliability (maybe it's just mine)

Any info or opinions are greatly appreciated.....

                                        Tony

I use one for the Sony Playstation (Gran Turismo) and it has worked great
since day one.  If you've checked all avenues already, it sounds like you
may have a faulty unit.

I too am using the PSX version and am pretty pleased with it for that app.
I've only had it 6 days and it has seens some hard use in GT.  In the PC
world, I had a GP1, sold it, and now have one again (since it costs just the
tax after CompUSA's mail-in rebate).  I'm obviously not that huge a fan, but
you can't beat the $3.60 price.  They have analog paddles on the side of
the wheel that can be used for throttle/brake.  But I'd recommend pairing it
with the CH pedals (I have the Pro Pedals).  But bear in mind the CH differs
in using joystick 2 x/y for throttle/brake instead of just one axis.  It might
not work in some games (does in F1RS, GP2, ICR2).
