I just watched the German Gamestar Mpeg for GP3 again, and I have to say
now that I've seen F1 2000, the lack of TCP/IP in GP3 means less to me
than it did before.

Seeing how much fun I can have offline with AI in NFS5 (I'll buy this
one) has given me new hope for GP3 - At least until WSC comes out.  That
will certainly be the multiplayer's dream.  At least as fun as GPL since
we know that Alison is assisting with the online development.

The West's have sure built up some huge expectations for WSC.  Do you
think they will live up to RAS' high standards?  Nobody has even
considered the possibility that WSC will not deliver.  It surely does not
look like it will fail based on all the input we've had.  But we had
input for F1 2000 (not nearly as much though) - look at what it turned
out to be...

That thought have struck me too. What if WSC fails to deliver? The only place
I can see that it will not deliver might be that it may require a monster
PC. But then again, the West's said in a chat earlier this year that they
develop it on a PIII450, and they sure aren't satisfied with a bad framerate,
thinking it will work better in the future.

The reason I look forward to WSC is that what the West's have said about
details in the physic tells me that they are the first since Papy to take
this issue really serious. Physics first and then gameplay will come for
free as a result of that. I feel that everything else is gameplay first and
then try to make it look realistic. IMHO of course.

But again, you never know, they might crash and burn because they have fed
the sim community with enourmous expectations. I hope not.

Since the GPaL story, I won't believe anything anymore untill I saw
and tested it myself...
