which you can do with gp3... it just requires you to drive more precisely

??? F1 is about traction and grip, not powerslides and drifting

Lots of good alternative sounds on fan sites.

Yes, you are being stupid!  (Here is a clue, try clicking on the save icon

Ummm, Ian I understand exactly where he is coming from, he is just saying
that it would be unrealistic if you were hangin the backend out every
corner...give him a break ;)

***y linchmobs ;)

| You can't powerslide through the corners, you can however realistically
| catch a slide and even set up a slight drift through the corners.
|
| So the question still stands...
| What the HELL has ridge-racer got to do with F1RC?

That would certainly be unrealistic, but in F1RC that doesn't happen. Sure
it can be provoked but not to such an extent as he is implying. GP3 is a
good F1 sim as is F1RC, however I personally prefer F1RC. Both those titles
would qualify as simulators in my view, whereas Ridge Racer is truly arcade
in it's implementation of a physics model.

F1RC will be a good simulator when, and if, they fix the AI. Until
then it is crap, IMO.

Yes, they do make some silly mistakes, but the longer you play it the better
they get, though still far from perfect. Hopefully it will be addressed in
the patch.

well, anyway you can't fight with the fact that F1RC is MUCH better looking
than GP3

Yep it really is a brilliant hotlapper.  Just that.

oh.. i don't.. i think it looks stunning, and GPS-mapped tracks are an
excellent touch.... and if the damn demo would run on my machine i'd give it
a more thorough evaluation before shelling out some cash

I couldn't get the demo to run either.  The full version ran OK.

Racing is great fun too. The AI definitely 'learns' to behave better and I
have no problem completing races now.
