What a great sim GP500 is! But, does anybody do a utility to record best
laps, like GPL does in its programme? I know that in Win Explorer I can find
the Records directory for each track, but I don't understand the units used.
I also find the same default setup for each type of bike a little
disappointing. Is there a site out there with some specific setups for each?

and what about a track editor?  we do want a track editor, right?

(and how come I can't get a half decent frame rate with my monster
3d/sb16 combo (PII 450MHz), when the STB Velocity 128 Video is smooth
as a baby's bottom (but ugly as one, too)?)

I was told that the models GP500 was edited by SoftImage3D.  That includes the
tracks.  And incase you didn't know Jurassic Park and Wipeout have used
SoftImage3D before for their models.  So actualy a track editor isnt exactly
possiable, and if it was it'd cost you hella lot because of the professional
software used.  But supposedly there is some more code in the tracks other than
just SoftImage3D probably for racing lines, black flags and other reference point
kinda things.
