Excellent....thanks very much for that.  I'll give it a try and see what
happens (after saving a copy of my track.ini file, of course!!)

The *outlap* is 9:30?!?  My PB is only 10:37...

Wishful thinking but...

I tried the altered lines, Mr. ?artijn, and indeed it worked without
drama.....until I noticed that the AI cars never completed a practice
session.  "Why is this so?" I asked myself and and then I had another look
at the track.ini file and Lo! and Behold! the answer came to me....I think
:-)

The alteration that you gave us certainly says to the program "Put the pit
stalls here".  What it *HASN'T* done is to tell the program that when the

cars are sitting in the new location they are actually sitting in the pits
instead of being broken down by the side of the track!!  Which explains why
the little flagman holds out the yellow flag because as far as *he* is
concerned, all these ***y cars just fell out of the sky and are cluttering
up the side of the track and are a major hazard!

This explains why, when I replayed the tape, one minute I'm looking at 19
cars sitting by the side of the circuit and the next minute,
BLINK!....they've disappeared into thin air! :-)

This is fine for those whose main interest is on-line racing.  For any who
only race off-line, against the AI, this is a no-no, as it doesn't give the
AI much of a chance to set a grid time.

So additonal changes need to be made somewhere in that track.ini file to
actually have the program understand that the pits have been completely
moved and it's not just a bunch of cars sitting by the track causing a
marshall to have a coronary. :-)

Any ideas?  Anyone?

I think he was refering to be able to take the first corner at speed, and
now out of the pits, because he's not used to that corner at speed and
throws it off the track at speed.  (if I understood correctly)  :)

What the original idea was from this post, that quickly got lost, is that
the guy wanted to be able to practice a section of a track (like one corner
or series of corners) over and over without having to turn around or restart
or go all the way around the track.

What he meant was looping just one section for practice purposes, not to
perfect lap times.  I don't think he would care if it appeared seamless or
not,  just an instant return to a place before the given corner (or
whatever) without a lot of fiddling.

Interesting idea.

Really? I find the 2nd Lesmos the easiest one. Curva Grande is my biggest
worry. I get it right most of the time because I back off a little here, but
when I'm pushing the limit I'm having a hard time not loosing the rear when
entering CG and the car either understeers or oversteers when opening
throttle exiting CG. I'm using a WW Eagle setup, so that couldn't be it.
Ok, you aces out there, tell me how it's done!
