Saw the rolling demo of Rally Championship 99 from Europress at the Vauxhall
Rally of Wales (www.rally.wales.com) HQ on Friday. It looks superb.  Due out
about May !! can't wait lets hope they get the physics right !

Hi Tom, was that the Rally that was based in Wrexham, if so was that where
they showed the demo?
I only live 3 miles from there and I clean forgot about it :(

No kidding.  I downloaded the 4.5MB 30-second mpeg of it to have a local peek,
and if the physics are anything close to the graphics, it'll be great.  They're
the closest to photo-realism I've seen yet!  I wonder if it's time for (yet
another) new video card.  Has my V2 lost its sheen already?

Is it essentially still a "walled" racer like Need For Speed?
I don't see the point of a rally sim where the fastest way through a
stage is to keep it pinned and bounce off the scenery...

Yes that's right the one based at NEWI, the demo was in the NEWI buildings
together with our rally HQ.

I saw some screenshots, and they have no sideways banks on the road,
just perfectly horizontal roads like codomaster's CMR. quite bizarre.

 I think SODA is the only one offroad sim. =(
