question for Voodoo5 owners

I was wondering how Viper Racing and TOCA 2 look with FSAA enabled. I also
understand that NFS Porsche looks amazing with the V5. Can anyone post or
e-mail screenshots of these titles? Thanks.

Also can anyone with an HP Pavilion computer either confirm or deny
compatibility issues I have read about with the V5? Thanks.

Viper looks amazing.  I pulled it off the shelf just to see 4xFSAA.  All I
can say is wow, it's gorgeous.  Running at 40+ fps to boot.  My rig:

about movement.  You have to see it to believe it.

yeah it shines up and does a bit better on the frame rate than a V3.

spoke:

Yea, but I found I had to drop the res to 640x480 to get SCGT in my
comfort zone for frame rates with 4X FSAA enabled on a P3 800. Same
with F1 2000. But, in some ways 640x480 really does look better than
1024x768 if the game suffers from masive shimmering, like F1 2000
does.

Hush, Nos, Hush!  That shimmering has always been my biggest *** about
F12K, and now you're telling me that the V5 has a cure for it?  At playable
framerates?  Oh, maannn . . . my bank account can't stand this.

:-)
I've got a better idea. Wait for the V5 6000 and then you should be
able to run it at 800x600+ 4X FSAA.

Well, that's what I've had in mind, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to turn
off all this card banter or risk having to indulge myself immediately.  :-)
Makes me wish I'd ordered this Dell with a "throwaway" TNT2 instead of the
GF256 like I started to do, for just this reason.  Oh, well, since it's
vidcards I won't have to wait long for the next generation anyway.

Well, that's what I'm doing, except I figure my GF256 is 85%, so I'm
skipping 90% for 95%.  :-)  Won't be long.
