To be more specific, if you have installed DirectX 6.0 and if your
version of glide2x.dll is 2.54, that could be the problem.  The solution
is copying the previous version of 3dfx's glide2x.dll (version 2.53) in
the GPL directory.

wow, so that's why <ctrl> <alt> <delete> never worked for me in GPL -
I have the habit of hitting ctrl and alt THEN delete.

This is the first time I've ever seen anything about having to press
<del> first - and it works!!!!!
