CMR2 - Freezing display

by Basil Littl » Tue, 03 Apr 2001 15:16:45

I have recently purchased CMR2.0. Full or "Medium" Installation was no
problem. I kept the default setting. I entered a profile. I tried an Arcade
race on "Italy". The screen froze after 10 seconds. Music remained.

My machine has the following:

Windows 98SE
AMD K6 500 3D Now
128 RAM
8 GB available/12 total GB
3dfx Voodoo3 2000
DirectX 8.01

Any advice would be appreciated. TIA

Basil

Had the same problem.

Got this off their website:
If you're using a Voodoo 3 based card, please revert to version
1.05.00 version of the drivers.

Get it here:
http://www.3dfx.com/downloads.htm

Actually they only have 1.04.00 but thats good enough.
