OK guys, tell me what is so bad about CPR.
It seemed to be pretty good to one who only tried for about an hour!

I'd say it's as good as any unfinished (and never-to-be-finished) piece
of software. In other words, you pays yer $50 and you become a guinea
pig for an experiment that's long since been abandoned by Microsoft.
Since Terminal Reality, the *real* coders of the "sim", crawled out from
under MS to join g.o.d., there's been nobody left at MS with brains
and/or incentive ($) enough to complete the sim. Despite the rah-rah-rah
of such completely unbiased folk as Dean Lester (works in MS'
"Simulations Division" -- which apparently consists of Dean Lester, an
old 286 hardwired to a D3D breadboard, and a Port-A-Jon), there has been
nothing new from MS on CPR in at least two months.
Of course, after the masterful ouvre of MTM2, the MS contract labor all
"went on a well-deserved vacation", and Mr. Lester has assured everyone
that they will "soon" be back at work. Second-string MS cheerleader
David Fisher also seems to harbor an increasingly wistful conviction
that the Gods at MS will someday revive their abandoned child -- with
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, presumably. But when asked directly
about further patches to CPR, or at least a CPR2 so everyone who lost
out on the aborted CPR can pony up another $50, MS refuses to comment.
Period.
Given that particular situation, *my* instinct would be to check the
cutout bins -- if CPR hasn't shown up yet (as it has here in the US), it
soon will. Figure your own price-point at which you can in good
conscience buy an incomplete product, and have fun.
Of course, others' opinions may vary -- I *could* be wrong...
