GPL: How can I put my name on the car?

I tried to edit the graphics for the No. 4 Ferrari by putting my name on the
sides, but somehow it doesn't seem to work as the whole car now looks very
strange (completely displaced texture). Is there someone who knows how to do
it right? Thanks in advance...

You'll have to save the bmp with the nose up.
You probably rotated it in another direction.

says...

You have to covert the BMP to 24-bit, and edit it.  You then have the
option of saving it as a 24-bit image or converting it back to the
original 4-bit image.  The 24-bit retains all of the shading that was
added, but can potentially slow down the sim if you do it to too many of
the cars.  Converting it back to 4-bit, you stand a chance of loosing
much of the shading/anti-aliasing you got when you were editing it as a
24-bit image.

I use Photoshop to edit mine, as it handles the conversion back to 4-bit
better than Paint Shop Pro does.
