Nascar 2000... eye candy only by EA

Well downloaded the demo by EA.  It appears to be just an upgrade to
Nascar Revolution.  Again it seems all the problems with Revolution
are still here.  The in car view still has the slowest frame rate,
fortunately it looks like the automatic pit road control has been
removed.  The handling could not be adjusted in the demo.  I will let
the experts comment on the AI and the car physics.  I have already
unsinstalled the demo.

What I could praise about the game is the eye-candy and it is
glorious.  The cars shimmering as if coated with lacquer, reflections
smooth as glass, the cars rebounding in the corner, and a pit stop
crew which jumps the wall and is visible from inside the car and
outside.  Track textures, grandstands, etc all look sweet.

I think most Nascar 3 fans would love to see the eye-candy of Nascar
2000 merged with the car phyics/handling (please don't start the GPL
engine thread) of N3.  It would make for a great overall game (and yes
if the GPL engine was used with the eye-candy of Nascar 2000...wow).

I would like to see Ubisoft give a Nascar sim a go.
