Where can I buy Spirit of Speed 1937?

...

Isn't SOS more useful as a graphics resource for, say, SCGT importing?
Seems like that may be more useful to drive them. It probably will
take a lot of effort to get this game going like it should have been,
if possible at all.
Anyone know if the data format of the SOS cars (or tracks) is known?

This has information about almost every 1930's GP car.

You can buy mine with pleasure !
I was SO disappointed , it was all looking
great 'til I started playing.
Great idea though .
PS. There's a small piece of Brooklands sitting on my
windowsill as I write.

Where can I buy Spirit of Speed 1937?

Chris,

EXCELLENT!  I'll try to take a look at the *.veh files for the
historic Neil's 1930 GP cars for SCGT to see if there's any room to
make them feel even more realistic (as it is, I think he's done a fine
job, but I don't know if he used actual specs or just went for a "seat
of the pants" feel with the physics).

FWIW, I should be posting some new 1930 dash displays; I took the
existing ones (can't remember where I found them, come to think of it)
and removed the "eyeglass" effect.  You still get a "hat brim" border
at the top of the screen, so you miss out on that open***pit feel
somewhat, but with the "glasses" removed, at least you don't go
cross-eyed!

;-)

I also think Neil has done an excellent job.  But after two years of GPL I
am kind of used to something with  a bit less grip.  I'm sure those thin
tyres didn't offer much grip and I have heard reports that the Auto Unions
and Mercedes could get wheel-spin in 4th gear in the dry (though I think
those were later models than the versions in Neils carset).
