GP2: Lost mirrors!

I can't get the mirrors to display anything more, whatever I do. I turn on
the setting and I just get the blue sky, plus some cars, but no track, etc.
Should I reinstall? Has anybody else seen this?

Turn on display track textures in the mirror and you will see a
blue/gray horizon and other cars.

Yup.. when I first started and had not indicated that I wish the
detail to be plotted in the mirrors. Go to Options, then Graphic
Detail Level, then select what you want to see plotted in your
mirrors. Be careful it is frame rate hungry..
