Sure. And once you're spinning around in circles, all you need
is to keep your finger on the accelerator button (I use the keyboard
because I dont have a wheel yet) and you will continue to go around.
Even if you point the steering wheel in the other direction.
I mentioned a few days ago how GP2 had a bit of a graphic bug, in
that the textures of some sprites are mirror images of what they
should be. Same bug in GP3.
To see it, follow a Stewart car. The red bit of the HSBC logo
is on the right side of the rear wing, but at a distance of about
20 metres (as it switches to the sprite) it flips to the left side
of the car. At a further distance, it flips back to the correct
side.
I hate the sounds.
The engine sounds like a whining mosquito, there are no gear
UPchange sounds at all, and the gear DOWNchange sounds like
a someone dropping a bucket of bolts on a sheet of tin.
Braking in the rain sounds shit as well.
In GP2 there was a display on the steering wheel that told you
what your best lap of the race was so far. A 'personal best'
for the race. In GP3 this is gone, so now I have now way of
knowing whether I'm going faster than I was before, or slower
than I was before.
The race strategy needs improving.
Starting a [wet] 12 lap race on intermediates, I was running last
(22nd) because I didnt bother with qualifying.
After 6 laps (with 6 to go), I was still running last because I'd
spun once or twice.
The track started getting wetter, so EVERYONE dived into the
pits to get wet weather tyres. With only 6 laps to go!!!
I stayed out on the intermediates, and found myself in 4th after
everyone else had pitted.
What is it with these guys? Did they really have to change tyres
with only 6 laps (or 5 laps for the second driver) to go?
