I saw someone was discussing the speed of ET6000 gfxcards.
these are my result running: GP2 LOG:ON

Pentium 133
16mb 60ns ram
256k pipeline-burst cache
Triton II (430vx) chipset
Viewtop ET6000 1.15mb mdram

Running under dos
Speed (c.f. DX2-66): 258
Video speed: 496

Here is a score for comparison with the Cyrix processor

Cyrix 133MHz (P166+)
16MB EDO RAM 60ns
512k pipeline burst cache
Triton II (430HX)
STB Lightspeed 128 (ET6000)

Scores:

Speed (c.f. DX2-66): 356 (no typos!)
Video speed: 462 (no typos here either!)

I wonder if 512k over 256k PB cache is the "Speed" difference, but I'm
not flaming your Cyrix CPU.

Also the VX/HX chipset will make a difference, as will the EDO-RAM of
the Cyrix system. That's not to say Cyrix aren't good chips, they've got
Intel worried, and I'm sure Intel know a lot more about the relative
performance than we do.

Heh, I get 357 for my overclocked 150+ (nowadays 166+).
My video score for a Trio based Stealth is quite appalling
160-something.

I don't think it's the amount of cache, I run GP2 on a:
Intel P166
32MB EDO RAM
512k pipeline burst cache
Triton II (430HX)
Matrox Millenium 2 Meg

and I get

Speed (c.f. DX2-66): 323
Video speed: 494

I have seen other people with P166's post the same Processor Speed,
maybe the Cyrix really is faster on the one processor test that GP2
does at the beginning, I hear it is actually faster on some operations
but slower on others.

Cheers.
