First of all sorry for the guy that uploaded the indy track, he know not
what is best for him, secondly, is there any way I could get the main
grandstand 3do file for the Daytona track in Daytona USA, I saw the track
and think it is the nicest sim track I have ever seen.  Also if you cannot
answer any other questions, please answer this one.  Are you going to
stick with the same track format?  by this I mean dat, mip, stp, pmp, and
3do files for NASCAR II.  Also will there be a track editor?

Well, in short, no we can't give you that file.  For all the same reasons
we can't give you the track.  No, the track file format is not the same.
We had to make some major changes to account for things like transparent
textures and others.  We also don't have any plans to release a track
editor in the near future.

Ok, listen guys this is it the ultimate idea. Here is how you guys
could make a track maker.

you go to a menu and it has a fill in the blanks type thing.

first fill in the blank for track name
then the blank for # of turns
then the length of the back straight in feet
the degrees of the first turn, second, third, fourth, etc. each in
seperate boxes.
the pit length
and anything else i left out.

then click make.
it makes the track.

then go into the next editor.

it gives you a 3d perspective of the track and allows you to put in
grandstands, billboards, rv's, ambulances,etc.

PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION!!!!

Thanks,
Keith Speroni

Sounds like a great idea, but may be a difficult
programming job.

Would be nice to be able to design your own,
especially road courses.

I'd pay for a separate program that would do
that, anyone else?

Adam;
I do hope that little detail will change while we still play the game....
I think it would be a blast to create-your-own road courses and have modem races on
them!
Oh well.... I'll just have to wish for now.   Just add my vote of "yes" next time
someone starts tossing that idea around, OK?   :-)

Wow!  That sound real easy :).  Seriously, there are lots of other
considerations with a track builder, many of which we haven't been able to
solve.  So, for now, it is not going to happen.

Is there any chance of getting a Windows compatible replay viewer?
