I checked to see if I had some blank tapes and didn't. So I went to get some
and came home with a new vcr as well as some blank tapes. It's amazing what
you can get in a VCR today for $99.

To bad you don't live closer, it would be nice to watch qualifying and the
race with someone other then my wife who keeps asking why aren't they any
Americans in the race and when will it be over ;-)
Btw ZZ I love your signature, we all knew it wouldn't take to long before
people started cheating.

It Must have been the year after he retired, which would be the year
after
he punted his teammate off the track twice in a season...so I'd guess 1993
was his last
year..and then maybe 1994 would be the race he was the commentator. (I'm not
good with keeping things in a correct timeline...)
But what happened was this, as near as I can remember, ...
The focus of the PRE-race reporting was the International flavor of the
crowd in Canada. They were commenting on how the fan base more closely
resembled a F1
event rather than a typical mid-western us fan. As proof they interviewed a
couple of
fans to find out where they were from. One was from South America(maybe)
and the other was either Euro or American, but she had a thin halter top on
that she filled out
quite nicely. Now Danny WAS NOT the interviewer, he was up in the booth,
but he
passed a question or two onto the gal via the trackside reporter...and when
the short
question and answer segment was over, Danny asked the trackside reporter to
get the gal's phone #....(and possibly made a headlight comment but that
could just be me filling in the blanks...)
Strange as it seems,,,I can remember that, but not what happened in the
race..:)
