what the *** is your problem?  nothing runs at 200 fps, and all ya had
to do was read the message and go on if you didn't know the answer.
anyways, speaking of AOL, the reason most of the questions (just my
opinion) come from AOL is cause aol is for those "computer illeterate"
mainly (supposedly easier to get on and off and find your way around
than an ISP), and they don't know that much about their computer or
whatnot.  I HATE AOL but I don't just say ***like this to subscribers
to it.

Due to your response the percentage of idiots from AOL has just
decreased.

This is mainly to Eric Busch, who seems to know more about the game than
anyone, but if anyone knows about this game, I would like to know how it would
run on a Pentium 166, 32 mb ram, 16X CD ROM, PCI-53 Series Graphics ( GUI )
Accelerator.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you

Why  are 90% of the idiots always from AOL?

Listen NumbRod , the frame rate will  be anywhere from 0 to 200 fps. Of
course, like you I.Q. it'll probably average somewhere in the 20's...

<note: this is a non-hostile message....just asking a question>

I'd just like to know why you were so rude with nimrod36.  He asked a valid
question and figured that he could find help here, and obviously your post
wasn't all that productive or helpful, and he/she may decide not to come
back to RAS, thinking that smartass responses is all that we give
here.....I'm just wondering what's up.

For what its worth, I saw a very early unoptimized pre-alpha running on
a P200 with a Rendition V1000 card.  There was no framerate counter to
my knowledge, but it looked VERY smooth.  The game will have native
Rendition and 3Dfx support in addition to Direct3D, so I'd say a P166
coupled with a good 3D accelerator (Rendition V2x00, 3Dfx, Riva128,
etc.) would give you good performance.

Hi,

This info was recently posted by Thorsten Reuter in this ng. He and I
are doing a lot of work on a GPL web resource.

Hope this helps,

Seemed to be just one Nimrod.  For the most part, that person was repremanded by
alot of people for his reply to you.  Don't let one person detract from what you
enjoy.  Most people here will be nice and answer your questions.

I read the entire thred you started, and I just wanted to say that I
didn't find anything "stupid" about your question. It was a valid one.
Some people out in the newsgroups tend to live there, and anyone who
isn't as "brilliant" as themselves regarding the NGs topic is an idiot.
It's people like the one who flamed you that scare off a lot of
potential posters, and hence they help to destroy the quality of the NG
over time. Anyways, don't feel bad, that other guy is an a-hole.

To be honest, I think a lot of people here would have given a decent
answer if they'd have known it. Unfortunately some goons like to reply
abusively even though they don't have anything worthwhile to say.
