Hmmm... I wonder where I read my info... I better look
into them again...

So, it *is* a lot slower than the download, but I guess
it's still probably faster than a regular modem??

I read in the paper the other day that there will be a new system in place
in a couple of years here in Canada (we were the first to get cable modems).
This one will be 250,000 TIMES FASTER THAN CABLE!!!!

The article said that you could download the entire library of congress in
less than 1 second!!

I guess at that speed, some downloads would be on your computer before the
screen could refresh!!

Upload is much, much faster than a regular or even ISDN modem.

Only with the poorly implemented cable modems. Not all of them are
like that.
