Does a TSW w/ split axis work yet?  Any tips on the settings?

First off, this is one awesome game.

But (there's always a but), as a Radeon 8500 owner, it would be nice if they
would address the issues with the Radeon. I know about the fix which is to
disable hardware T&L, and it does certainly help, but a fix would be very
nice.

Thanks for the tip, but it made no difference, I still get about 1FPS
with TCL turned off. I have tried both the Radeonater and Raid on
tweakers, and it made no difference to the performance. Interestingly,
the slow FPS is both during the game and in the menus. I don't know if
this is the same problem as others have had, but I had this problem
when I tried to play E-racer (Hey, I was bored, OK ^_^) also, and
never found an answer to that one either.

Yes. works "great" on my non *** PC with a weak(ish) CPU and R8500,
get about 1 FPS with my *** PC with twice the CPU power and a R8500,
which means I'm schtuck with mouse and keyboard for driving, still, down
to 1:35's in the GTI :-)

You need to reboot after turning TCL off.

And every release seemed to have more bugs than the last! The game
concept was great but I never could play it, just too buggy. Tried
just about every one of those damn releases too.

Dunno.  It worked for me but I uninstalled it after that.  Didn't want to
have to turn it off, reboot, turn on, rinse, wash, repeat after every sim I
run.
This isn't a slam on LFS or anything but didn't impress me a whole lot.  Lot
like a demo of GPL or something but it does have potential for sure.

It was surprise because it came out of the blue (to me at least).

I am more used to knowing these things are in development and eagerly await the
demo (or full release). Which usually ends up in disappointment :-(

Unfortunately nothing has ever had the same impact as when I first fired up the
GPL demo. I just knew I was limited to one track & no ai until the full version
was released as everything else at the time just couldn't touch it.

That is what I want to happen again but fear it may never happen :-(

Optimistically (many will say!) I wonder if RL just might...

Cheers
Tony
