I'm getting the fatal error mentioned in the subject line every time I try
to run or configure a game called Driver by GTInteractive.

I do have a 3d accelerator card, an Apocolypse 3dx with 4mb ram, along with
a Matrox Mystique 4mb video card. Both are working properly on all other
programs. My computer meets the requirements of the game quite easily.

I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for both cards. On the
advice of GTInteractive's e-mail support I have installed DirectX 7.0 and it
passed all test checks. Also changed my display settings to 640x480 16bit
colour which apparently helps during configuration.

I'm still getting the error, and I have not yet had any more suggestions
from GTInteractive since I mailed them on Saturday.

Can anyone help?
