N4 patch question

Guys;

I've downloaded the patch.  Our league admin says he's not going to update
the copy on his server for several weeks perhaps till testing can be done.

I want to know what files are changed and if I can patch mine and go back to
the old version for our Friday race.

so - is only the .exe changed or are there other files changed?

Regards,

Willard.

No, there are many files changed by the install, unable to tell you
how many but it was a significant amount.

Cheers,
Rod.

Just do a fresh install and patch it. When your league is ready to run
patched, control panel> add remove programs> Nascar 4. It will automatically
uninstall the latest install. Then patch your current version.

  The Sierra boards said the new patch is NOT multiplayer compatible with
the old version.  If you have a league race, I'd wait til after that event
before installing the patch.   or run a new install of N4 on a different
partition.

Thanks guys;

I guess I'll wait - and update after Friday's race - to be on the safe side
of things.

You don't need a 2nd parition to support N4. I have generally kept 2
installs of NR on my machine since N3 had so many patches .

Simply create a second folder somewhere and install the game again, then
patch it with whichever patch you want, they can coexist, I have 3 N4
installs on one HD this very minute and each of them work great.
