Say, Steve, what's the simplest way you use to 'clone' your XP drive?
I've just made a 1:1 backup of my GPL disk using the 'xcopy c: d: /h /i
/c /k /e /r /y' command, but am not sure that still works in XP. Does it?

(I intend to go NT2k or XP for GPL later on, even though it runs well
here on 98, but that's technically so retarded even on a Repentium, I'd
rather leave it behind asap. NT4 worked well, but that didn't support my
USB wheel..)

(Cloning usually is by far the easiest way to backup imho, since it
avoids the numerous reinstall/update-procedures afterwards. You know,
SP1, SP2, then App X 1.1, then 1.2, 1.3 etc etc etc..)

I'm still back in the Stone Age, Rudy.  I just use Drive Copy to back up the
entire c: drive to a spare 80-Gb HD (my main drives are 120s by now) 'cuz
I'm afraid I'll miss a "critical" update or new DX component or something.

MS says to create a System Restore point before installing SP2, but SR
hasn't been exactly foolproof for me.
