GPL is King Sim.
F12k is not.
GPL gives a sense of speed, and, once you get going, gives you some diverse,
challenging tracks to have some exciting races on.
F12k gives a headache configuring your PC to run it, todays dull circuits,
and a nice CD, which is shiny <G>

GPL is (IMO) a hell of a lot better, and, unlike any other driving game/sim
I owned, GPL enjoyed the luxury of never being uninstalled, which speaks for
itself really.

It's an heresy to simply think about comparing both.
GPL is to F1 2000 what a Ferrari is to a Saab.

Now let's see if your a witch ;-D

Is it?  I didn't think so, from some of the venom that flows through these
posts.

I don't know who invented capitals, comma's, points, etc..., but I'm pretty
sure it was invented before you where born. Do you talk the way you type?

What?

More expensive to run, insure and liable to vandal scratches with keys?

(when you overtake)
F1 2000 is underestimated in this ng.

And you think I chose a SAAB without thinking about it? I clearly knew it
can beat it.  It's still not a Ferrari.

F1 2000 is overestimated in this ng.

Hmmm,

Actually, I don't think this is a human at all.  Leaving aside its apparent
obliviousness to common rules of decency, it demonstrates far too little
subtlety in its posts.  At the end of the 20C, only a social neanderthal or
a very poorly designed artificial intelligence module would use
***ity as an term of insult.  Indeed, if this was a living and
sentient creature, it would probably have a fair amount of trouble just
feeding itself.

All that aside, the main clue I have for these speculations is that prose
"style."  It reminds me of those artificial computer voices one heard in the
very early days of radio sci-fi.

"greetings earthling have no fear take me to your
leader"<--regularly-cadenced and nasally monotone
"bruce you really are *** it is true GPL is far supirior to F12k"
<--same. . .

A fair resemblance, no?

I definitely prefer GPL - the feel of driving, the smoothness of the
graphics, the sound of the cars, the quality of the AI, the great
on-line community, the classic tracks of that era.

That being said, I am still enjoying F1 2000, despite its faults
(primarily poorly optimized graphics and some missing features that a
modern F1 sim should have - telemetry, flagmen, etc.).
