I'm looking to try out toca 2 anyone have any opinions on the game ? Is it
worth getting a year after release ?

If you can find it for $20 or less, go for it!

It's the best (and only?) BTCC based game on the market, and if your into
touring cars, can be a real hoot!

Keep in mind, it's a codemasters game, and they are well known for making
cross-over sim/arcade titles so don't expect GPL or RC2000 but it is
challenging and quite a bit of fun!

I would highly recommend it. It is perfect after a highly demanding sim
like GPL and has excellent graphics, feel and sound. The only drawback is
the arcade way of racing on different tracks. I simply play the
championship, but there is no real way to practice at a track unless you
have opened the track by winning at the prior track. Summary - worth buying
especially since it should be fairly cheap.

I agree, TOCA2 is awesome, not a true sim, not a true arcade game, a bit
of both really, but awesome wheel to wheel racing!!!! Great graphics and
great sound (especially the in car view, I love those rattles ,
squeaks and creaks as the car goes over the kerbs!)

Go get it now....
