N4: Great (except for my driving)

Some initial N4 impression:

Though others have apparently had some problems, the installation went
without a hitch, and I didn't have a*** of trouble with the copy
protection (yeah, but it's annoying).

The graphics are spectacular.  I can't think of another racing game that
looked this good.  (I'm on a Dell Dimension 1000 w/ GeForce2 GTS 64 MB.)
The included track I know best in the real world is Sears Point, and this
is an amazing rendition of what I recall from the times I've driven around
it.

The***pit view is kind of cramped (visually), with a limited field of
vision.  Not a problem on the ovals, but at Sears Point especially, there's
a couple of places where you get a "where the *** is the road going?"
feeling.

I tried a couple of quick races at Daytona, and managed to wipe out a good
part of the field both times.  Practice, practice, practice.

I'm not a big NASCAR fan, but I think I'm gonna like this.

I've driven several cars with rol cages and to be honest the view wasn't
much better than in these cars. And no you can't move forward like some of
you say because of the straps. The view is totally realistic and shows one
of the discomforts of driving a roofed car perfectly.

I drive a car with a roll cage and I can see a hell of a lot more than you
can with N4.  You just can't realistically simulate the feeling of driving a
race car by limiting the view out the front windshield because you are
taking away the peripheral vision that you have in real life.
