OT Kinda: GT3 on the PS2

OT Kinda: GT3 on the PS2

We just bought a PS2 and since it was only $30 more (and the fact that I am
a racing junkie) we went ahead and got the GT3 pack.

Well if you are a sim racing fan, you know that trying to play something
like this with a hand controller just does not work very well.

I know that there is a Logitech Force wheel for the PS2 but that is about
$130.  Sure it would be worth it if I would use it for my PC also, but since
I already have a wheel for my PC (and I do not like FF wheels) that wheel is
a bit much for just using it on the PS2.

I know there is a V3 wheel that is pretty cheap, but will it work for what I
need it for? Just PS2 racing games once in awhile?

Anyone know of any other wheels that will work on the PS2?  (too bad the TM
wheels do not work)

Thanks

I believe the non-ff Logitech wheel works

I think you can.

The Logitech Force GT was designed for GT3.  It works on the PC as well
with drivers for the Wingman Force USB.  There is a new wheel from
Logitech called the Driving Force that adds navigational buttons and a
lap mount.  It should be no more than $99.  You can also buy the
Logitech Wingman Force USB and use it.  The Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel
works as well, but may not work with any other game.

I believe the non-ff Logitech wheel is gameport only.  I don't think the
PS2 has a gameport.  Then again, I have neither of those, so what do I
know?  ;o)

I noticed on the Ball Racing site they have an adapter for the playstation,
so you can use their wheel with it.
Would this adaptor work with other wheel combos?
