Mirror in GPL

I recently managed to get GPL working on my new machine (running XP), but
one of the patches that I loaded forces one single central mirror on top on
the screen, replacing the two side views. Quite shocking, I say.

Does anybody have an idea regarding how to disable this ( frame-saving?)
feature?

Zen,

I guess that you have a Voodoo videocard -- I don't think this option exists
with any others.  I don't know how to undo it, but you could justdownload the
D3D patch and switch from Glide to D3D.

On a related note -- Why would you want to disable this, anyway?  I have it
installed for use with my Voodoo5, and I love it.  In fact, that's the main
reason that I'm still using my Voodoo5.  If someone could verify for me that
this can be done with a GeForce 3, Radeon or some other high end card, I'd be
tempted to switch......

Its an option in the Glide-O-matic patch only.  you can turn it off by editing the glide.ini file in
the gpl folder.  Here is a copy of that section from the glide.ini file

; Use direct mirrors
;
; Draw the mirror image at the top center of the screen
; when driving in-car
;
; Default is 1
Direct Mirror=0

0 turns it off
