There's still time for all you Internet drivers out there to enter
ICRNAS. The first race is this week, at Michigan. Tomorrow I will post
publicly the bulletin for the race so that everyone can get an idea of
how the race will be run. Qualifying results will be due Thursday, and
race results will be due next Sunday night.

For those who still need the rules or the new car set (an updated ICRNAS
with new DRIVERS.TXT was released with the series rules, everyone!), the
files are available at:

Before anyone else sends me mail regarding how dictatorial the ICRNAS
series I feel I must clarify something that might have been misunderstood.

This series is supposed to simulate NASCAR conditions at races and
qualifying. THIS IS NOT JUST AN ICRS CLONE WITH FANCY PAINTJOBS!! I
have received numerous complaints about the gear ratios: Perhaps I should
elaborate. A mandatory low gear ratio will be in effect for all
superspeedways to simulate restrictor plate racing. Similarly, the tire
compounds are mandatory in COMPOUND (not pressure, etc.) because Winston
Cup competitors can't choose their compounds either.

Really, what I'm trying to do with ICRNAS is make it as similar to stock
car racing as possible. It takes a great deal more suspension of
disbelief, granted, but I still feel it's possible. So far it's just me
and another driver (there was a third, but he bowed out due to work
demands and an unwillingness to "dick with the weather"). Regardless,
the series will continue. Applicants are welcome at any time.

Sorry to rant, but for those of you who feel like complaining -- read the
rules a little closer next time. ;)

I feel for ya Tony... No really folks, it is NOT NASCAR racing... But until
Papyrus' NASCAR Racing is released, Tony Johns series is the closest thing we
have. He has setup a very sound series from what we can see.
