You seemingly have a hard-on for loudly announcing additions to your
kill-file. Why not do it quietly like the great unwashed do? It ain`t
necessary to proclaim, massah.

PS. Add me. Don`t bother to confirm to the world.

PPS. It`s trite, I know, but you might consider proof-reading your
posts for grammatical errors before stabbing the Send button. Shoddy
penmanship only reflects badly on your company. Cheers.

What was that telling phrase about people in glasshouses? It's never a
good idea to criticise someone else's grammar, particularly so if your
own isn't absolutely letter perfect. It smacks of childish oneupmanship.

Cheers!

Would you care to expand and perhaps even point out the errors in my
post? I`m willing to learn from you.
Incidentally, "criticise" has a "z" in it.

Look at John's email address before making a fool of yourself. John
lives in the UK, hence most definitely _NO_ 'z'.

If you, as (presumably) an American wishes to use a 'z' then that is
fine, but don't try and force it on those who invented the language
(even if John is actually a Scot...)

Cheers,
Richard

I think everyone should announce kill file additions,  to show the ***s they are not winning.
But,  do it like Ed does,  do it in a funny way.  Make a joke out of the situation,  but still put him/her
in your kill file.  Ed cracked me up when he quoted:

"I welcome you to my kill file.  This way, I'll never even
see another message from you & all the other Tom Wardell's.
Hailing Frequences Closed."

Ed,  you are a fine human being,  keep cracking me up. <G> =)
Keep up the good work Ed!  <G> =)

<G> = Cheese-eatin' grin..... =)

I think you`re wrong, old boy!
I am British and "criticize" is indeed spelt with a "z". Look it up.

I didn't know that! Isn't this just cool?   You can browse a newsgroup, and
get an international spelling lesson at the same time!

Since it's easy to forget that R.A.S. is world-wide, I'd like to take this
opportunity to say HI to the whole planet!

(Hi planet!)

There's a saying that people are never quite so stupid as when they're
trying to be smart. The word "criticise" generally only contains a "zee"
when it's used in American English. In "English", criticise is more
commonly spelt with an "s", although either version is perfectly correct
- but you already knew that I'm sure....

As for the grammatical flaws in your previous post, if you're not sure
enough of the accuracy of what you wrote to dismiss my comments out of
hand, how can you be sure that what you wrote was correct? Or even to
correct someone else's grammar? The point I was making, albeit somewhat
obliquely, is that we're not here to nit-pick over one another's
grammatical correctness or the lack thereof, we're here to talk racing.
Live and let live. :)

Cheers!
John

I seem to be getting a lot of practice at this....OK, I'm sorry.

I have now looked it up and according to my dictionary the use of 's'
or 'z' is optional. Therefore we're both wrong (and both right <g>).

The 'z' has always looked like an americanism to me.....

Cheers,
Richard

Right On!
When I'm racing, I can hardly talk, let alone work on grammar!

Did you ever have your wife try to strike up a conversation when you're
on lap 30?    It just doesn't fly!  ...or maybe YOU do...right off the next
corner!   I have enough trouble keeping my 'edge' without someone trying to
have a chat about what color to paint the deck!   :-)

Does anyone else's wife do that to you?

Mike      -the deck will be white, BTW.   Decided between lap 14 and 16...   ;-)

Usually it goes like this:

"Mikko, blaa bla blaa blaa .."
"yeah, yeah, mmm"

then, after I've gotten on a good long straight:
PAUSE - "Now what were you talking about?"

or the oter alternative is that I do not remember talking to her at all-
but I find out laster that I've promised to do something, emhm, unfun :-/

Good advice Tim! It's hard to ignore the ignorance displayed by some of
those postings which put Tom in this position.

P.S. Keep up the good work on the NASS '96 series Tim. We all appreciate
the effort you put into it.

Gee, Mikko.... last time I had one of those conversations, I ended up
buying something really expensive!
When it starts, I usually mumble the same "yeah, uh-huh, sure" stuff you
do, and then hope she's just telling me what a cool day she had.   :-)

Mike  -hope is not enough, now I pray!
