SCGT; very good add-ons!

Hi,

the two add-ons,
Advanced Options -editor for "Pure Simulation" and
"Slick Grass" (by whom? the readme does not tell...),
and
Greg Hill's Update 1 for real engine sounds and
  other audio improvements
really make the sim much better!

Great work guys! Thank you both!

And now when I've come to the GT2 cars, the feel of driving a race car
has become very good. To me the feel is clearly better than in Viper
Racing! (And, ..., well, anyhow it is not as good as GPL has...  :)

But I would be quite happy of having a modern F1 sim based on SCGT
engine! To me the feel of (enchanged) SCGT clearly beats F1RS and
MGPR2! And they alrerady have Nurnburgring... (I haven't yet tried
that, I guess it'll come in GT1, and do not want to cheat..., I want
to win my way to the higher serie...)

Oh, sorry, those German names look so similiar... :-)
And isn't Hockenheim also an F1 track, anyhow.

Arto

PS But who knows, what tracks you get when you "win a serie with
difficulty setting high", ... the book promises you'll have
   extra tracks... ;-)

Is pirating just a reflex or habit?  For the life of me, I cannot
understand why somebody would be stealing a $35 game.  Try buying it
instead.  I hope none of your patches work !!!!!

Greg...

As a software developer, I'm about as e***d about software piracy as you
seem to be! But, out of consideration for others as well as the children
that may like to enjoy RAS, any chance you could generally elevate your
level of discourse on RAS?

Well, it comes down to the software companies. I'll quite happily warez a
game that doesn't have the same release dates in the US/Europe, and then
decide if i wanna buy it or not when it comes over, finally.

FYI, there are several companies that sell overseas from the UK, and
at prices quite comparable to the occasional / eventual US release.  If
you are justifying pirating European releases by saying you can't buy
it at home, you need to rethink strategy.  No developer / programmer
wants to see the ripping of software that has consumed as much time and
energy as a decent sim.  If you can't make a purchase decision from a
demo and/or from European buyer reviews / comments, then don't rip it
off just because you have the technical ability.
By the way, don't get near my car......I wouldn't want someone
borrowing it for a few months to see if they might want to buy one like
it.

So there.

A positive response truly would have been out of character. Perhaps one day
you'll enjoy greater perspective.
