Well, I got my reactor 3d today and I thought I'd let people know my
results.
I have a Pentium 133 from Dell with 32 megs of ram. Installation was a
breeze.
Plug it in and go. I've only tried the Indycar so far and here are the
results.
I ran with 32 cars ahead, 32 behind, and 7 heard. I had all graphics
turned on
and had the highest textures in the mirrors. I also ran with the new 8-bit
carset.
I ran all races on the new tracks starting from the back of the field.
On the first lap of each race, the FR dropped to about 20-22. Midway
through the first lap
until the end of the race, the FR maxed at 30 and didn't drop below 29.
I intentionally spun and wrecked on all tracks to see the results. The
frame rate
drops to ~25 when spinning. These rates are all the same for replays as
well.
Very, very impressive.
