How to configure GP4 to use Act Labs Force RS

by prospect0 » Sat, 12 Oct 2002 15:51:53

Hello,
Could someone please tell me how to configure GP4 for use with the Act-Labs
force RS wheel. I also have the the RS shifter. If someone could provide me
with the *.con file that would be even better. I've been trying for awhile
to get this to work right and have had limited success. Every time I set it
up it seems to interfere with the game menu selections.

Thank you for the help,
edinator

I have tried both split and non-split axis settings and it still causes the
program to cycle through the various menu selections. It is almost as if the
accelerator or brake is the equivalent of holding down a cursor control key
on the keyboard. I can drive the cars if I can manage to coax the the
program through the menus to get on the circuit. But, there is the problem
sometimes i just can not get it to even leave some of the menus no mater
what keyboard, mouse, pedal and / or wheel combinations I try.
I know I had some wheel problems with GP3 until a patch was released for it
that supported the act labs wheel. Could this be the same story all over
again? Do we learn nothing from the past? Help!!!

Edinator,

Is "Control Driven Calibration" Highlighted? Try that, then calibrate your
wheel. My TSW Formula is split-axis and it works wonderfully with GP4.
