Visiontek Gf3 ti200 + Nr 2002??

by Robi » Wed, 06 Mar 2002 16:58:35

Well, I have an Abit KT7A-Raid mobo with a 1.2 GHz T'bird and 256Mb. PC133
and a SBLive! soundcard. What's really scary is that from what I can recall
from other peoples' posts I would be up against a harder time than you
getting a Nvidia card to work 'cause of my VIA chipset. Although, I never
did have any problems with the SBLive! card and my KT133A chipset unlike so
many others. Maybe it's just a roll of the dice sometimes. Good luck Dave,
and keep us all up to date. I might even crack a beer in honour of your
success should you get that graphics card to work as it should have out of
the box.
Regards,
Robin

I'm running the EXACT same setup, except the motherboard is a MSI K7T
Pro2A - but that's using the exact same chipset as your Abit one.  I've
never had any issues with my SB Live either.  As I detailed in a post up
above, I did have some issues migrating from the V5 to the GF3, which were
fully cured with a Windows reinstall.

Don't hold me to it, but you should have no problems with regards to your
hardware being compatible with the GF3.  Whether you can get Windows and the
various drivers to agree with you....one can never tell.

But it SHOULD work ;-)
