Sure it will... probably the full set of tracks, plus the majority of cars
(err trucks) and drivers licensed.

Yes yes yes.. without any problem. It uses the same physic, and graphical
engine as Nascar Racing 2.  The minimum requirments will probably be as
similar to the Grand National Series Expansion set, mostly some tracks will
be a little bit more heavy in the graphics than N2 (as it was with the GNS
tracks).

NASCAR Racing 99 - CTS

From Papyrus...

The game will ship with 34 tracks in all, including the 1998 teams for NASCAR's
top 3 series. For the first time we will have full support for the NASCAR
Craftman Truck Series including new truck physics, tracks (Pikes Peak,
Homestead, Memphis, etc.) and truck rules.
NASCAR Racing 99 Edition will be Win95 native, and have enhanced support for
3dfx-based accelerators. There will also be many graphical and AI improvenents,
including double file restarts.
There will be no NASCAR Craftman Truck add on to NASCAR 2.

My questions are:
1.Is NASCAR 99 going to have the CTS in it whenit is shipped or not?
2. Will I just be able to purchase NASCAR 99, install it, set it up and start
playing it
WITHOUT a 3dfx card, just like I play N2 now?

Somebody please explain this to me. I guess that I missed something somewhere.

Why the hell do you want to race a damn truck anyways???? That has got to be
the STUPIDEST thing Nascar has ever done.. "Hey PA... Why can't I race my
John Deere".."Give it time Jed.. NASCAR will have the Farmers Tractor Series
Nascar"   Talk about a redneck decision for trucks!  And just how much of a
load can a Nascar truck haul???   it can't???!!  Gee.. then it ain't a
friggin truck.

Just HAD to get that out!! y'all  ;)

I personally could care less about the CTS. I just want the new authorized
tracks that come in the game.

There are some great tracks floating around out there on different sites and I
have quite a few of them, but I would perfer to race the ones from Papyrus that
they offer and then pick up the extra ones off the net.

Speakin of tracks... what about the 'unauthorized' tracks?  If I were to
walk along the Indy Speedway and measure every angle of that track.... and
then record it and plug it into some track editor... what would be wrong
with that?  If they can't license the F-22 aircraft to one software
publisher (Novalogic) then they shouldn't be able to license the Indy
Speedway to one publisher.  There are alot of things that need to be
changed...  with the way things are done in the USA.  Too bad it will never
happen as long as there is a one ruling government.

But, please don't forget that Papyrus also OWNS the rights to the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway.  They were the ones that came out with Indianapolis 500, the
Simulation.  They also had an add-on to Indy Car I of the Indianpolis Motor
Speedway.  I have tickets to the Brickyard 400, and I hope that IMS is
included with Nascar 99 (this is the only NASCAR WC race that I have been to,
all five of them :-) ).

Frankly some of us *like* the trucks!! Much more action to them and
they aren't afraid to rub some paint here and there <G>.

They don't own those rights anymore and any licencing agreement has a time span.
I think Sega had a deal with IMS like it did Daytona and that is why it has not
been included in past Papyrus Nascar sims.   I don't think that has changed any.

If you look at Nascar's success, trucks would be a natural evolution.  There are
lots of trucks sold in the US and for the manufactures, racing them only makes
since.  Not that I pay too much attention to the CTS but they are fun to drive
on a computer.

You will just have to wait and make your own judgement on that but since they
will be in the game, give em a shot.  They are a blast to race with.

Then don't watch it <G>.

But in the mean time don't put down other peoples interests just
because you disagree <G>.

You know, I always thought that people who like racing, like all kinds
of racing.  Now I know that isn't true.
