"Where To Race" is a Kali server dedicated to racing. It just
went on line about a week ago and we've been getting some good
connections and some good racing.
Kali and Nascar is not a replacement for Hawaii, or even for
modem racing. It is prone to warping and getting set up to race
can be a pain. It has it's limitations, but if you have a fast
internet connection you may be able to play Nascar in multiplayer
mode with drivers all over the U.S. for free!
You can download a copy of Kali that will allow you to try
the system for free. You have a 15 minute time limit on the
connection until you register Kali, which costs $20. The
15 minute connection will allow you to find out if Kali and
Nascar can work for you.
I've personally had many good sessions already, including one
75 lap race at Bristol and many other races at Talladega.
The best yet was running a few practice laps around Sears
Point with no warping what so ever! The greatest possibility
for this system is that it can allow team mates who live far
away from each other to practice together. You may not be
able to race bumper-to-bumper and door-to-door, but it's a
lot more fun to have someone else to chat with while you
practice.

on-line!
