If ya haven't downloaded the GPL avi yet, be sure and give it a looksee. If
your interested in the openwheelers, it's a nice little tidbit to whet the
appetite. It looks like the graphics will be typicall Papyrus' quality -
top notch.  I was a little dissapointed in that we didn't get an in***pit
view, but realize this was from a replay. One thing I missed going from
Nascar 1 to Nascar2, was the deep rumble of the cars. Just needs some more
bass in there. The replay on the GPL avi sounds very much like Icr2.
Personally, I hope there is more depth to the sound in GPL.
Thanks for the avi Papyrus, keep em coming!

Btw... For all those users that downloaded the video, here is a cool thing I
saw. If you have Active Movie installed, you can see the video in slowmotion
1/2x.  It is pretty cool.  The best part of the movie is when you see the
cars go out of Turn 3 (the two lesmo turns). Well I think it's Lesmo. Well
what I mean is the two turn at the up of the track is you look it from the
Gp2 map.  You see the first car slide wayyy to the outside of the track. He
gains control and goes into the second turn of Lesmo.  Look at the car,
especially the***pit. Check the hands. Wow ! You can see them move and
it's wayy kewl.

I think that GPL will touch every Simracer here. The F1 simracers and the
NASCAR simracers.  It will be the next reference in Simracing, I am sure of
that.

With great respect,
May the downforce be with you,

FYI, you can get a couple of brief in-car views from the AVI on the BGN
Expansion Pack.  As far as the sound goes, remember the game is still
many months from completion and currently isn't even in the alpha
stages.  It's highly unlikely the sounds are final, and its quite
possible that Papy is using recycled ICR2 sounds as placeholders.  The
sounds are also coming from an AVI which (depending on the quality of
the encoding) usually will not be indicative of the real in-game sounds.

Mike Lescault from Papyrus told me that the sound is only a placeholder
and is not the final sound. (Btw it's also not the Nascar2 sound)
