I must say right here and now that I am forty five years old, and
remember the year of the Formula 1 Grands Prix that GPL does in fact
replicate.
I was a huge fan of Jim Clark --------- and he STILL is my ALL TIME
racing driver HERO ------- above all ------- bar none. He is NUMERO
UNO with me and always will be. I remember how sadened I was in April
of 1968 when I learned of his death in a Formula 2 accident in Germany
at the Hockenheim ------- and the curve where he lost his life is now
named after him.
I downloaded the AVI last night and looked at it this morning and I
must say I am exstatic that it looks so damned realistic!!!!! PLUS
------ it is a Lotus -------- you can tell by the emblem on the
steering wheel.
If the AVI is any indication of the realism that will be associated
with the entire product when it is released later this summer, then I
think all the other sim manufacturers may as well just go ahead and
start designing CHILDRENS toys, because I see no way how they canb
ever top it.
MICROSOFT and ABC's horrible attempts should go into the history books
as the feeble attempts to capitalize on a trend without knowing what
the hell they were doing in the first place.
I have EVERY SIERRA/PAPYRUS racing sim produced------- along with the
INDY 500 track on diskette, and am completely sold on the fact that
SIERRA/PAPYRUS is indeed trying to deliver the closest thing to the
real thing --------- but in a way that I won't be pushing up daisies
within a ten minute periiod of time!!!!
CONGRATS -------- CAN'T WAIT FOR THE ENTIRE THING!!!!!!!!!!
