Agreed.   From my viewpoint, the $ isn't the issue, it's getting something
for those $ other than a rehash.  I wouldn't have for N3 either, but there's
not much choice but to change if one wants to keep online racing(my choice
of course, not being forced); all the servers, etc. do

Sierra/Papy has to do what they think will make them $, nothing wrong with
that of course.  But from what I've seen, there isn't anything _worth_ $50
in N2002.  Even Nr1999, which wasn't offered for full price, included _lots_
of new tracks, etc; so I have a hard time understanding why N2002 is being
offered for full price.  Two years later I guess.
Should be a discount IMO; I realize a patch is wishful thinking<G>

Having said that, I'll probably end up getting N2002........but not unless
I have to per above :)

Just one of those things; right and wrong views on both "sides" of the
issue.

I dunno.  Take out the stuff that should be put into N4 via a patch, and I
see a $19.95 update pack.

I'll buy it. I won't like it, but I'll buy it.  They know that, and in a way
that's the most insulting part of the whole thing...

So if we remove the AI and the tweaked physics (aswell as the bug fixes
ofcourse) the rest is only worth $19.95?

(A patch would/should only "have to" fix the problems or features that was
supposed to be in it from the beginning..)

...but then again you guys are lucky... I'll probably end up paying another
$10-20 just to get the dammed thing set over here... :-(

Hopefully it be availible at a reduced price pretty quickly :-)

I really don't mean this as a flame, it is an honest question sparked of my
own curiousity to understand this. If you don't like it, why buy it? Money
talks louder than anything you could ever say here or anywhere else. Buying
it just shows your approval of it as far as Sierra is concerned.

IMHO, yes.

There's nothing compelling, really.  There's no Busch.  There's no Trucks.
No Busch or Truck tracks.  No fantasy tracks.

Nothing that really adds _substance_ to the game that warrants $50.

Remember, in the days of the Track Packs, we only spent about $20 on them..

I'm trying to be relative here, not exact.

You know what?  I didn't read the subject line...  I was thinking
GPL...<blushes>  Sorry 'bout that.
It would be cool if Noonan could convert it, though.
