Be aware that under Windows XP, turning down the accelleration even one
notch turns off sound accelleration _completely_.

That driver you are using, is ***for NR2003.  Im still using the quite a
bit older ones especailly for the 4600 (I have the Creative-128 meg version
myself...)  seems the number is like well ***I dont want to post the wrong
one, but at work (where I dont race, I have the 45's in there, and I know I
took the dirver home and it killed the framerates a bit so I again
reverted...  I dont do the upgrades of drivers now that my card isn't the
card that is being sold, IE replaced by the 5's so drivers seem to fit the
5's more?

if you had the 5 series cards, then you want the new drivers?   but  IMHO if
you like me, (seldom do anything but race NR03) you will love the 43.x or
possibly it was 41.x drivers...  I think they started optimizing for the
5xxx series cards which killed the 4xxx series cards, but that is just my
guess/observation with mine and friends machines...  Oh and the Detonators,
never been good for me, IMHO since the 4x.xx drivers.

every other game I run seems kewl.  I got the info written down ( so that I
wont forget if I had to format/reinstall everything, but of course that is
on a notebook at home.
