Same for me, Dave.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and, if I did obstruct anyone, it was
totally unintentional and part of the on-line learning process.
I did nudge Mark Seery coming into the last straight before the hairpin at
the pit straight and, from my vantage point, the contact speed wasn't
sufficient to move a car even slightly off-line, as Mark had slowed to keep
pace with a car in front of him.
Yet my nudge resulted in Mark being punted ***ly off the track.
This is obviously (now that I'm aware of it) a result of lag and warp - to
my eyes Mark's car was beyond my front bumper but, in ***space, he was
probably in my front seat, thus the resulting explosive orbital launch
sequence.
So I have learned that when I see a car in front which is "dancing" to leave
MUCH more room between me and it!
It may not actually be where I see it to be.
One thing that I did notice which I've also experienced in real-life motor
sport, and which I consider made the difference between AI and HI (Human
Intelligence), was the ability to place pressure on the driver in front of
you, to the extent that if he tries to go faster or brake later in order to
hold you off then he may do something wrong. That worked at least once for
me. :)
Bruce.
