 I was logging laps at a race in Michigan. There was no traffic around so I
started paying attention to some of the great new scenery. Coming down the
frontstretch I noticed the American flag, I came around again to look at
the Canadian flag but there was no Maple Leaf! In real life Roger Penske
and Michigan Speedway have acknowledged us north of the border. Canada's
flag is flown and our national anthem is played at all races. I realize the
track is in the U.S. but it is only an hour drive from the border. 1/4 of
the fans at races there are canadian.
 I realize that this was something overlooked to get the game out by
Christmas but in NASCAR 1 there are no flags at all at Michigan. So when I
see only the American flag at Michigan in Nascar2 it feels like a slap in
the face to myself and other canadians.
 In ICR2 at Toronto there are so many Maple Leafs that it goes overboard.
The big Maple Leaf flag doesn't even exist at the Molson Indy!
 If the Canadian Flag flies at Michigan Speedway in real life, you have the
Canadian Flag in ICR2, and the game is sold in Canada, why is it missing in
NASCAR2???

Who cares? There are more people in the state of California than all
of Canada.  Besides Papyrus/Sierra is US as is MIS as is NASCAR.

If this was a CASCAR simulator you may have a point.

BTW, I am a Canadian so don't start with all that US bashing crap.

Papyrus tried to get the rights to use the Canadian flag at MIS, but
Sega paid two-billion bucks for exclusive rights, so no one else can
enjoy the maple leaf in their games.  -:)

 That's the best answer yet !! :) I'm not as serious about the flag as my
previous post sounds. It's just that my friend and I were watching an 1985
race from C***te the other night and they were pushing "Buy American!"
throughout the race. There was even a cool commercial with Dale Earnhardt
and Tommy Houston. Houston made Dale look like an Oscar winning actor!
Anyways we thought it was cool how patriotic the Americans can get and how
Canadians aren't patriotic enough. Anyways I was just trying to my part of
being a patriotic Canadian :). (Unlike Mr. Williams<G>.)
Just like the commercial with Dale, my message ended up sounding corny
though. It would be cool to have a Canadian flag at Michigan though because
there really is one there.
