newsgroup. I have a couple of questions regarding the game to which I
haven't gotten an answer yet. I hope someone reading this newsgroup
could help me out. On to the point now.
Q. 1 The fastest lap times on Papyrus web site. How are they governed?
Meaning, are they fastest laps during a race, fastest qualifying laps
at a particular track (if this is the case is it the first full lap
after leaving pits for example in Michigan.) or are they fastest laps
recorded in preseason testing mode? If Mr. Ganter from Papyrus is
reading this I hope you might provide me with an answer.
Q. 2 For some reason I am stuck with driving the Watkins Glen track
and especially Michigan. I'd like to hear other Nascar drivers
comments on the average lap speeds they can sustain at these two
tracks (assuming you started with a full tank and there were no or
just one or two yellow flag periods) for the duration of one full load
of gasoline. I can drive 40-45 laps at around 186.5 mph in Michigan
leaving me with 5 to 8 gallons of gas.
Q. 3 While driving a fast lap (e. g. qualifying) in Michigan how low
does your speed drop in the two major turns. I am trying to figure
out if my speed at those turns is as fast as it should be. My fastest
lap in Michigan is 192.2 mph (done in preseason testing). During that
lap I was able to keep the speed in the first turn at 178 mph and in
the second turn at 177 mph.
I'd sure be interested to hear about your experiences particularly at
the Michigan track.
