rec.autos.simulators

I dont know if this is a bad feature of n2002 or what but when i click on
any menu it pauses for 30secs before it does anything! Garage, exit, player
info, options, main menu, anything. Its like what happened for some systems
in N4 car selection. This makes the game totally unusable and frustrating,
to make a simple change in setup takes over a minute of waiting.. very
annoying whiile online. Is there a fix or something to cure this?

System specs are

Celeron 850
256mb ram
64mb GF2 MX 400
SB 128bit PCI
LWFF USB

Mine takes like 2 secs or less on a PIII 500, same vid card and same system ram....

Try Direct 3d, mine does that when I use OpenGL so I assume that's what you
are using.

I get the same kind of long delay on N4 with a PII-450 running under Win2000.  I also
tried a PIII-500 with same result.  Is this a Win2000 problem?
