"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways... One trick is
to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere: Like the time I caught the ferry
over to Shellblyville: I needed a new heel for my shoe...so...I decided to
go to Morgansville, which is what they called Shellbyville in those days.
So, I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style of the times. Now, to
take the ferry cost a nickel, and in *those* days, nickels had pictures of
bumble-bees on 'em. 'Gimme 5 bees for a quarter' you'd say. Now, where were
we, Ahh yes. The imortant thing was, that I had an onion on my belt, which
was the style of the times..."

Maybe Greg realizes that you don't necessarily have to taste a pile of it,
or even stir in it, to recognize it for what it is.  hehe

No, I don't have it, either, but I intend to get it--just stirring up a
little myself.  :-)

I think that about sums it up. It is interesting how I am certainly
not the only once slagging GP3 or GC but it is my name in
lights sort of speak. I guess I must be hitting closer to home
than most :-)

Yeah... Be sure to let everyone know what you think about
it :-)

In light of the tone of several current threads, methinks it would behoove
me to make sure my purchase of the endeavor in question will be from an
establishment extremely conducive to the notion of customer satisfaction.

Possibly Greg because you have not played it ! You have commented on
the quality of graphics you have not seen, the standard of coding you
have not used and sound you have not heard.  Okay one or twice get
your point over etc.. but so far you've made 139 post on the subject
of GP3 and you have not played the game : (

regards to GP3 and for the most part will leave the
GP3 lovers alone. Unless I need a laugh or something :-)'

That was on the 26th of July,  must be pretty quiet round your way at
the moment then Greg : )

OK so am I to believe that if I tried the game I would find that:

1) GP3 does not have the SloMo which dogged GP2.

2) GP3 has pit to driver radio chatter.

3) You can hear the other computer cars while on the track.

4) I will not find that GP3 is really GP2.5 (GP2 with added
    weather effects.

5) GP3 has the same physics and same basic internal game engine
     of GP2.

6) GP3 had absolute ***multiplayer support as GP2 and World Circuit
     had.

How sure are you that my Voodoo2 and LWFF would work? I am
curious which of the above points are incorrect? Further why must
I waste my money on GP3 just to find out something dozens of
people have said here in this NG. I think this is a desperate attempt
to get me to shut the hell up.

First corner only on my mid spec Celeron 366 oc'd to 567 and TNT2
Ultra. Then it hums along

Nope but it also you don't get told 'You can do better than that' : )

Nope You got me there Greg

The weather is not just about the effects Greg (Though they are good).
Its about the way they make you think about the race. It takes the
genre to a different level

I believe GP3 has different physics, it feels very different to me and
great fun.  The game engine is the same but still provides a very
polished race.

Too true.

Some people have had trouble with the V2 but others seem ok, can't
comment on the LWFF.

Can you get it from somewhere that accepts returns ? As for getting
you to shut up.  The beauty of RAS is everyone is entitled to an
opinion.  It's just that the opinion of people who have played the
game maybe worth more than the opinion of someone who has posted 130
odd times commenting on the quality of something he has not tried.

If you ever get over to the UK well continue this over a pint (I'm
buying)

Sounds good. I am actually supposed to be going within the
next year to visit the wives relatives. I was supposed to go this
summer, but my torn achilles prevented that...

I'll save this message and email when/if it finally happens :-)

Hey, by that time I might like GP3!

Psyche :-)
